Two years ago I took a solo bike trip from Columbus, Ohio to my parents home in Skaneateles, New York. Five hundred miles in seven days. Not an epic journey for a serious cyclist, but since I probably had not ridden 500 miles in the last thirty years it was a worthy challenge.
No rain, only one flat tire and no injuries until my cleat got stuck at an intersection in Auburn, five miles from home - and I gashed my elbow.

During a high school basketball I grabbed a rebound after an opponent's missed free throw and executed a perfect head and shoulders fake and scored an uncontested layup - of course it was at the wrong basket which was probably why the fake worked so well.

I've married for more than thirty years and have three college age kids - two in Art Schools and one a grad student in Chemistry at NYU. Fortunately my wife has a good job.
I had an engine remanufacturing company in Phoenix for many years and now I am an aspiring writer. I've had several short fiction pieces published and have completed a novel, but haven't been able to secure an agent yet.
For the last four years I have been competing in Triathlons. This year I am hoping to qualify for the age-group national championship for the Olympic distance in the 55-59 age category. It's going to be a challenge - there aren't many entrants, but they are all tough competitors.
