My wife and I retired in June 2004 and moved aboard our 39 ft. Trawler. We lived full time and travelled for 14 months from Lake Michigan south on the Illinois River to the Mississippi River then the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers and the Tombigbee all the way to Mobile, AL. From the pan handle of Florida, we crossed the Gulf of Mexico to Tarpon Springs, FL where we followed the Intracoastal waterway around FLorida, then North to New York City. From there the Hudson River to the Erie Canal and North to Oswego, NY where we crossed Lake Ontario to Canada's Trent Severn Waterway, a canal system that took us to Georgian Bay in Northern Lake Huron and the North Channel of Lake Huron. We were then back in the U.S.A. and Mackinaw Island and travelled South again to South Haven, Michigan where we started. We're now land lubbers lving in Florida full time and very active in the lively sport of Shuffleboard.
