Subject: Who, and What, I am
Content: Apparently, I am going to be a frequent contributer to this "General Discussion". I am usually very positive that my opinion is the "only correct opinion" Therefore, I think I should post a bit of my Shuffleboard background'. This online community for “ Masters Athlete” magazine, is devoted to the activities ofolder athletes. It is my hope thathundreds of shufflers will use this online Forum, and attract non-shufflers toour game. If you are online, please go to www.geezerjock.com and write a littlesomething about the virtues of Shuffleboard. We need to change our image. Many Shufflers do not know who I am. Those who do not care need read nofurther. I have been a “Pro” for nearly thirty (30) years, and was once an accomplished Tournament Shuffler. I played the Florida Pro MsstersTournament three times, won the Florida Tournament of Champions” a few times, won both the summer, and winter, “National Doubles” (with accomplishedpartners, of course), and have won (or placed well) in many State, and NationalTournaments, in both “Doubles” and “Singles”. I was Keeper of Records of The Florida Shuffleboard Association, and later, the Treasurer. I was an officer in the National Shuffleboard Association. I am a member of The National Hall of Fame, and was recentlyinducted into The Florida Shuffleboard Hall of Fame. I wrote the book, “MODULARSHUFFLEBOARD” (which has since become “The Shuffleboard Bible”)and is now “out of print”. I have written “Wilbur’s Page” for “THE SHUFFLER” web site, but am not writing for that "Page" at present. I will soon be devoting most of my computer time to finishing a revision of "MODULAR SHUFFLEBOARD" to be published on CD (or DVD) Although, I am “OLD”, I still know how to play the game, andI know how to win.
