Most of the time with a crew, primarily my wife, who loves to hang out but probably could not bring the boat around to pick me up if I fall off. Some single-handed.
Just sold my H16. It was an increasing pain to raise the mast and rig the thing every time we went to Lake Michigan to sail. I'm an active geezer. Now I rent in Wilmette, IL and in Florida when we are there the whole month of January. No trapezes though. Wish I could have one regularly on the Gulf Shore for daily use. Our rental is on a canal with a boat dock and no boat. Oh, well.
Great you sail cats. Do you single-hand the Hobie 16 or sail with a crew? I compete on the Hobie 17, stock for normal racing and with a spinaker for long-distance events. I also enjoy just cruising.
