Coaching youth, high school and masters athletes to enjoy and excell in T&F throwing events...All three of my National Championship wins as a Masters athlete. First... the 2003 USATF Masters Weight Pentathlon National Championships held at Fort Collins, Co. I was victorious in the Men's 40-44 age group by a small margin of points against an extremely tough and talented field of competitors. Second... the 2005 USATF Masters Indoor T&F National Championships held in Boise (Nampa), Idaho. I had the good fortune in taking the Gold medal in the shot put, Men's 40-44 age group. Lastly, the 2005 State Games of America T&F National Championships held at Colorado Springs, Co. winning the Men's 40-44 age group, shot put and discus. My personal bests as a Masters athlete are, Shot put, 16# (7.26k) - 49' 5.50" (15.07m) in 2006 / Discus, 2k.- 148' 6" (45.28m) in 2002 / Javelin, 800gm.- 142' 5" (43.42m) in 2003 / Hammer, 16# (7.26k) - 120' 9" (36.81m) in 2002 / Weight throw, 35# - 41' 10" (12.75m) in 2003 / Weight Pentathlon, (40-44 age group) - 3256 pts. in 2003. I was ranked #1 in the USA during the 2007 indoor (men's 40-44) and outdoor (men's 45-49) T&F season in the shot put and was ranked #7 in the world as well for the 45-49 age class. I was also ranked #4 in the USA during the 2007 season in the discus, men's 45-49.

Throwing at an outdoor, Open/Collegiate meet at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Co. while a cold front was passing into the area. It was between -8 to -2 below zero wind chill factor the time the shot put started. Most of the throwers were huddled under tarps with sterno's lit to keep them warm. They would run to the ring when their names were called, threw as fast as possible, then would slide back under the tarps almost before the shots landed. I would think It had to be one of the coldest NCAA/open outdoor meet ever contested... now that's throwing in the Rockies!

I was born and raised in Miami Beach, Fl. I've lived through out the United States but mostly in the western region. I've had the pleasure to work and hang my hat, for over 7 years in some extraordinary places like Yosemite, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Yellowstone and the Everglades. Still, one of my favorite places to have called my home is Idaho, especially the central and northen part of the state.
